We specialise in all types of hydrogeological investigations and analyses. The department is qualified in the following areas of hydrogeological investigations:
01
Determination of groundwater status and dynamics
02
Construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of infrastructure facilities
03
Implementing energy facilities
04
Identification of sources of drinking and technological water
05
Studies for disaster recovery and prevention
06
Planning of usage of geothermal energy
07
Hydrogeological modelling of groundwater flow and transport of substances and heat
08
Hydrogeological supervision of drilling works (piezometers, wells, drains)
09
Hydrogeological mapping
10
Preparation of environmental studies for obtaining a building permit, environmental permit, environmental clearance, water rights, etc.: environmental reports, environmental impact assessments, risk analyses for groundwater contamination, hydrogeological reports for indirect wastewater discharge, water balance analyses.
11
Monitoring of the quantitative and chemical status (specified physico-chemical parameters) of groundwater
12
All types of field hydrogeological measurements: pumping tests, infiltration tests, VDP, activation and cleaning of piezometers and wells, groundwater level measurements, flow measurements, tracer tests, etc.
In recent years, members of the Department of Hydrogeology and Environmental Studies have worked as lead experts or team members on a number of challenging projects.
The department employs eleven specialists: one PhD, six university-educated hydrogeological engineers, one graduate engineer in environmental protection and three technicians. Four of them have passed the professional examination under the Construction Act (ZGO).
