Protection of the construction pit with a sheet pile wall, sub-concreting of foundations of the existing structure.

Technical properties

For the construction of the extension building as a part of the reconstruction of the Vida Pregarc Primary School, a 4 m deep construction pit with a vertical excavation was excavated and protected by sheet pile wall. Due to the shallow depth of the excavation, the retaining wall was a cantilever type, without additional support. As the new extension building is located immediately adjacent to the existing building, sub-concreting of up to 3 m was carried out under the foundations of the existing building.
